One of the most valuable attributes, that people can have both in their career and personal lives, is humility. We hate to brag. However, as a client, you need to trust that we can deliver value. Consequently, please see the list of accomplishments below. I (the founder of Toney Accounting) have been blessed in life with great opportunities, great mentors, great family, and great friends. Yes, I have also worked very hard over the years. Nonetheless, those blessings allowed me to accomplish the following:

  • While at Warehouse Anywhere, attended Board Meetings of Publicly Traded Parent Company (Life Storage) to discuss Divisional Segments and Profitability. When Life Storage was acquired by Extra Space Storage, we successfully stood up a new entity in 1 month (to Spin-Out this Division into its own Entity). Major contributor in setting up Credit Facility with Amex, Opening Banking Relationship and securing Credit Facility and Line of Credit. Worked on Technology Platform migration, worked on I.T. (managed services) outsourcing, implemented new Accounting software and built Chart of Accounts and converted all necessary data. Worked to secure Health Benefits, 401k Plan, and Payroll services. Established Insurance policies with proper coverages as new entity. Developed new Travel Expensing program. As a stand-alone Entity, I became CFO. My Areas of Responsibility include Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Technology. Helped to bring rigor in the RFP process and dissected pricing models. Deep analysis in Segmentation Profitability. Major contributor in Platform Decisions (refactoring vs. forking) as the company discerns new verticals and new offerings with our Technology-Enabled Solutions.

  • While at ProGas, Inc., I ran the company as the owner transitioned into retirement (moved to Florida). Helped to grow Customer Base (mainly Residential) by 10-15% and EBIDTA 5-10% in a 3 year period. Bolstered Supply Chains by contracting with Mid-West directly. Used hedging to mitigate Margin degradation and covered all Pre-Buy customers with locked-in Supplier pricing for all allocated gallons. Sourced new 20lbs Cylinder supplier and was able to grow Cylinder Exchange business during COVID. Major contributor in packaging company for Sale. Successful Sale was completed September 2021.

  • At McKesson Corporation, revamped the Budgeting tools for an entire Business Unit. Consolidated over 40 departments (330 FTEs) and produced an accurate Budget (3.5% Variance on 136M Top Line and 30M COGS, and 1.5% Variance on 95M OpEx). Business Impact Award winner 2017 (McKesson was in Top 10 of Fortune 500) for building a Business Case pertaining to Hardware Optimization. Created comprehensive Financial Model pertaining to New Technology Platform Build which shed light on new and accurate assumptions. Major decision was executed as the result of this Financial Model Output. Was promoted 2 times in 3 years.

  • While in Oil & Gas, prepared my Division for Physical Inventory which facilitated the most accurate PI taken in Division History producing a 200K favorable impact to working Capital once SAP was reconciled to physical count.

  • At Eaton Corporation, I redesigned the Financial Reports to align with the reorganization. This produced visibility for VPGMs, of different Product Lines, and allowed those leaders to make better operational decisions for their respective Product Lines.

  • Obtained CPA License (Still Active)

  • While in Public Accounting, the firm was able to increase my Billable Rate per Hour multiple times because of the efficiency and accuracy of my engagements.

  • Obtained College Degree while working full-time (went to school at nights) and maintained a 3.96 GPA

  • As a Service Advisor (BMW & Mercedes-Benz dealers), I obtained the highest CSI score within the group and was constantly close to the top in Revenues per RO
